Do you really love the Lord? Really? How about according to his word?
What does it Really mean to Love the Lord?…I mean biblically?
Is it a feeling? Is it just singing a worship song or praying? What is it in the Bible?
For example if he loves something, do you love it?
If he hates something, do you hate it?
What if he considers it an abomination, do you consider it an abomination?
What does it say about loving God?
John 14:15
“If you love Me, you will keep My commands.”

Loving the Lord goes way past a “feeling”
“If anyone does not love the Lord, a curse be on him. Marana tha that is, Lord, come!”

- Jesus said observe Moses law ( just don’t follow their hypocritical example, leave that out, but do the law)

- Jesus said to observe the little things as well as the big things
- Basically be righteous! Plus he came to fulfill the law not abolish it

Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.””

- What did he teach them 2 days earlier in Matthew 23? To observe all and not leave out the former things, don’t leave out the small things etc
- Are you obeying all his commandments?
- Are you teaching people to obey all his commandments?
Loving the Lord goes way past a “feeling”
1 John 5:2-3 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
3For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome
Do you love God enough to give up anything he says if he says to?
Is it to much to ask of God, “if you don’t want me to do it, I won’t do it?” Out of Love for God?
- what about immorality? Fornication?
- What about selfish ambition
- What about beastiality or any abomination?
- What about Pork, (crab, lobsters, shrimp )etc?
